ageless

In my mind's eye, my parents are always going to be in their late 40's. For some reason, when I see someone in that age group, I always think to myself, "Oh that person is about Mom and Dad's age." F'rinstance, I just met a 48 year old man in a business meeting and had the usual thought that he was Dad's age when it suddenly occurred to me that the gentleman in question was much closer to my age than to Dad's. Weirdness revisited. I'm not sure if this is my subconcious trying to keep my parents young or myself. Maybe both.

In other news, M's visit yesterday was quite fun. We always manaqe to laugh quite a bit when we're together. About anything and everything. With her, a part of me will always be able to visit 21 again, even as we explore our 30's together. Thanks M!
