going dental

Had my first dentist appointment in about six years yesterday. Yes, I know, it's about time. You'll be happy to know...well, I was happy to know that everything's in pretty good shape and no cavities. The strange thing was how high tech everything's become. No more waiting around forever for x-rays...they did it all digitally. This is probably old news to most of you, but I was mildly amazed. The strangest thing was the absence of the constantly draining spittoon thingy. They had some hi-tech, star trek type of nozzle that they placed into my mouth and told me to spit into...like a reverse straw.

I suddenly feel old.
