Today we went to the San Francisco Zoo. I have mixed feelings about zoos having seen a few that were really just sad clumps of old cramped cages, but I'm happy to report that the SF zoo is not of that variety. They've been upgrading every year that I've been in the city and each time I've gone there's something new that's helping make it a zoo to be proud of. The lemur exhibit was my fave this time.

In related news, e continues to amaze me. At four and a half, she's very aware of the world around her and how to interact in it in ways I hadn't imagined. For instance, yesterday morning she showed me the sites for Noggin and PBSKids. That is, she typed in www.noggin.com with her little fingers and navigated through the pages. Suddenly I had a vision of the future. There's many people I work with who are pretty much still technophobes. Even though they interact with a computer on a daily basis for email and various documents, they freeze up anytime a new way of doing things crops up. This generation's going to give that mindset a run for its money. After all, a mouse is no more threatening to these kids than a crayon. I say color away, and let the chips fall where they may!
