Like recurring dreams, these songs often get stuck in my head...seemingly with no connection to outside events. No matter how many times I manage to shake them, I know they'll be back in a month or two.

Notwithstanding the fact that Sexy Back has recently joined the above, I sense a common theme of repetitive striving tinged with hope. Perhaps I'm making the connection a bit deeper than it needs to be, but it really describes how I've been feeling lately: tinged with hope.
