not so specials

We watched The Specials last night. We figured that it might be bad, but it had some actors we'd actually heard of and there was a sense that it might be cultishly bad. Nope. There were indeed moments of laughter, but overall I just didn't like the way it was executed. It may've been the editing - we didn't bother to watch any of the deleted scenes so I can't even judge from that - but the plot burst at the seams early on and little pieces of it rolled around on screen for the rest of the movie. Generally just made us dizzy and there weren't enough of the laughs to make it worthwhile.
