Postcards fascinate me. Most people see them as transitory pieces that at best get placed inside a box of keepsakes to be puzzled over years later by descendents of the now dearly departed recipient. "Who'd he know that woulda gone to New Zealand and who the hell is Mabel?"
A lucky few make it to the top of the heap and may live on the fridge for a few months (or a few years depending on your feelings about cleaning off the fridge.) This always struck me as unfair since oftentimes it's the writing on the back of the card that deserves to be shared.
I myself keep them in a nifty shower curtain purchased at Urban Outfitters which gives a nice view of both sides of the card. Being greeted with random quotes from friends each morning as I wash my hair pleases me, but the other day when yet another card fell into the tub and started to fade away...I decided that there had to be a better way.
Maybe this isn't it, but I figured I'd try it out.
